It is a private venture of Dr David MacKintosh MB ChB, FAChPM, (the Editor). Dr MacKintosh graduated in medicine in Aberdeen, Scotland in 1976 (MB ChB). He is a Fellow of the Chapter of Palliative Medicine of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FAChPM) and is recognised as a specialist practitioner in palliative medicine.

The site receives no external funding and carries no advertising. The webmaster “Iris” is an object of Dr MacKintosh’s imagination.

This site does not provide medical information or advice. However, in as much as it assists in the retrieval of information relevant to the management of medical conditions, visitors to the site are reminded that the provision of this assistance is intended only to support visitors to the site and not to replace any relationship that exists between a patient/site visitor and his/her treating physicians or other health professionals.

Access to email contact is available at the foot of each page. “palliativecareatstb.com” does not use cookies and no personal information about visitors is stored on the site.

Email correspondence is forwarded only to the Editor who deals with it personally. No information contained in email correspondence is available to any person other than the Editor and is not shared with or provided to any other party. The site will maintain a level of privacy in keeping with the provisions of relevant legislation currently in place in New South Wales, Australia.
