This search uses the general palliative care search term to search the whole of the PubMed database. Searching "all of pubmed" using this term returns around 100,000 thousand citations (June 2007). You may want to do this but it is a very long download. We know because we have tried it; it nearly drove us mad and then we did not know what to do with the results.
Using the table of searches below will return the citations entered into PubMed in the previous 7, 14, 30, 60 or 90 days.
This page allows you to update manually at regular intervals from a starting point you have set for yourself. The results open in "PubMed" and you can then process them according your own needs. If you are new to PubMed it has an excellent, on-line training section which may be of help to you.
If you wish to attend to updates manually this may be the page for you. However, St B's does provide updates of its palliative care searches. This is achieved not by dull, repetitive searching and the burning of many candles, but by setting up an automated system that sends the results to St B's each week. They can be found here. Although we are happy to do this, and it helps us to feel superior, it is preferrable to set up your own searches and have them delivered by email at a time you specify; the process is straight forward. Details of how to go about this can be found here or you can go straight to PubMed. |
